Professional info

Having been in the motor trade for over 30 years, ranging from Valeter to Manager, I have gained extensive knowledge in customer service through to managing teams of up to 21 staff. I feel that I have achieved as much as I would like to have within this industry and my ambition moving forward is to change and move careers. Between November 2018 to September 2019 I have completed Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 in Mental Health Awareness, Smart recovery in relation to addictions in which I have successfully received certification. I have also completed Level 1 and Level 2 in Adult Social Care. Most recently completed, a Drug and Alcohol Awareness Diploma. Diploma in Child Phycology. Also RCGP level 1 in Drug Management and Drug misuse. I would like to progress my career within the community sector as I believe I will be a great asset to any company due to my personal attributes, drive and focus.

Whilst learning from home since November 2018, I have volunteered 2-3 days a week for a I.T company working within the community sector. We have worked within churches and buildings that care for mentally ill individuals. I have enjoyed my time working with the company and hopefully will continue to do so.

Career Summary

I Decided to take time out and help people who are experiencing life challenges as I have.

Disclaimer:

I believe there are no set entry requirements to become a counsellor as it is a profession that benefits from many skillsets. I moved into this career later in life, allowing me to apply a broad range of skills and experience, often motivated by my own challenges to help others.
