The Career Ready Mentoring Programme for Year 10 students runs at 6 schools across Staffordshire. Volunteers are assigned 2 students who they will mentor over 10 mentor sessions. Session are held monthly starting in October 2019 and ending in July 2020. Meetings will take place in school and last approximately 60 minutes (first and last session are for 2 hours). Mentors are given the dates for all sessions in advance. Career Ready provide ongoing support for mentors. I mentor children who are between 14 and 15 years of age, who would benefit from additional motivation or focus on career/future. Children who are C/D Border for English and Maths and have limited to access to the world of work.
